We all have a tendency to photograph our children when they’re young and proudly display their photos on the walls of our homes but life happens and before you know it they’re older. What a great present for their Mum, to give her up to date photos of themselves.
You’ll find the best family photos are the ones that capture each family member’s personality and aren’t overly posed. It’s all about capturing the family connections, those natural family moments that deserve to be documented. I like to ask lot's of questions prior to the photo shoot to get to know each of them and to help them relax and have fun during the shoot.
We decided a great location would be the local beach, a great place for them to be themselves for natural family photos. Older children will automatically smile and pose for the camera but I tell them to not look at me but interact with each other and have fun. I just give a little direction and let the moments happen on their own. This family were a bundle of joy, lots of laughter, love and hugs, I couldn’t ask for more!
It’s so important to capture your children at any age as before you know it they’ll be leaving the nest and making a life of their own.
