I find a lot of people are really concerned that their newborn photo shoot takes place within the first 10 days of life. I shoot what’s called ‘Lifestyle’ photography whereby this doesn’t matter as it’s a very natural form of photography. Most posed newborn photographers ask that they photograph your baby within the first 10 days since birth as this is the time that most babies are very sleepy and they can manoeuvre your little one into various poses. Lifestyle photography is baby led, a simple and natural way to photograph your baby. I try to avoid around the 4 weeks of age though, as this is usually the time that baby acne or milk pimples sets in. This settles down over a couple of weeks, so if you want to wait until your baby is 6 weeks of age, this is fine. If around 4 weeks is the only time available, that’s fine too as I’ll Photoshop out any of this rash.
I’m really excited to let you know that I now have a home studio for your convenience. I still offer home visits but sometimes for various reasons the shoot can’t be done there, so I give you the option of coming to me.
