Memories captured that last forever!
It's not about capturing perfection to me it's about capturing true emotion of your family. Capturing the love, the feelings and bond you have one another. This is lifestyle photography where everything doesn't need to be perfect, not the perfect house or perfect clothing. Location sessions allow the freedom to be yourselves, your everyday of who you are now.
This gorgeous family have just welcomed their second daughter to the family and big sister is just besotted with her.
When I photograph a family I try to capture each family member's personality. I love it when I have a session and everything just clicks (no pun intended)! When I arrived at their home we had planned to go to a nearby park but their front garden was perfect for the photo shoot. Even better when the boys decided to bring out their instruments that they love to play, it really helped capture who they are now. How adorable when they decided to play their instruments together!
The joy I feel when I return to past client's homes and see how much their first born baby has grown and also that they've welcomed another newborn baby girl to the family.
Welcome beautiful baby girl!
I usually only conduct Tween Mini Shoots at the beautiful Mont Du Soleil but I received a call from a Mum of a toddler who fell in love with the location and asked if I could photograph her 2 year old daughter there.
She had so much fun playing with the huge balloons, feeding the pony and horse, swinging her doll on the swing and playing in the fields of flowers.
Children love to go to locations for a photo shoot that are familiar to them, where they feel most at home and free to play. What better place than Grandma & Grandpa's house! We had so much fun blowing bubbles, running in and out of the washing on the line, playing with the old doll's house and oh my gosh the most adorable cubby house where we had morning tea and played with her dolls! Grandma even had Tic Toc biscuits that I used to eat from my childhood.
I think I'm going to be one of those grandparents who keeps their children's toys (of course only for when the grandchildren come over)!!
Went for a visit to my Mum & Dad's place yesterday arvo for Father's Day. My youngest brother has the most cutest boys and of course you know who couldn't resist taking some photos! Sandy, I hope you enjoy them!
My friend's daughter Charlotte decided all on her own to donate her hair for people suffering with Cancer in the World's Greatest Shave! In her own words "I am only 7 years old and in Grade 2. I know how sick people can get when they have a yucky thing called cancer. I hope I can help them and they can use my hair to make a wig." To think someone so young would be so selfless to think of others. Charlotte and I shared a gorgeous photo shoot before her big haircut. You can sponsor Charlotte her at this address: www.worldsgreatestshave.com/charlotte van poppel.
This week's theme is "Up" (thanks Caroline)!
