Newborn Baby Joy!
Those first few days after you've arrived home with your new baby seem like a blur but it's almost as if they've always been there. This little bub decided she wanted to arrive early and Mum & Dad are totally smitten. Welcome sweet Matilda!
I feel so honoured to be asked to photograph a new baby to the family, especially when it's been a long road to becoming parents. Where two become three, how beautiful is this little newborn baby? Congratulations Lia & Michael!
It's not about capturing perfection to me it's about capturing true emotion of your family. Capturing the love, the feelings and bond you have one another. This is lifestyle photography where everything doesn't need to be perfect, not the perfect house or perfect clothing. Location sessions allow the freedom to be yourselves, your everyday of who you are now.
This gorgeous family have just welcomed their second daughter to the family and big sister is just besotted with her.
The beauty of photographing lifestyle is that I can come to you and photograph your family in your home where you feel relaxed and familiar with your surroundings.
When photographing a family welcoming a new baby, I try to capture the intimacy and affection the parents have for their beautiful new baby.
This gorgeous family have just welcomed their 12 week old baby boy and my gosh he can stand (with support) already!
The joy I feel when I return to past client's homes and see how much their first born baby has grown and also that they've welcomed another newborn baby girl to the family.
Welcome beautiful baby girl!
I feel so privileged to be invited into a family's home to document those first photos of their newborn baby. I previewed this family's toddler last week as there were too many shots to share in one post. This lovely family have just welcomed their second little girl, a beautiful little sister for their 2 year old toddler. Enjoy!
There's something so pure and real about newborn sessions. New parents are in awe over their newborn baby and so in love. If I had to describe a newborn session I'd call it easy going, nice and slow, letting the baby lead the session.
I like to schedule my newborn photo shoots at around 11am. This gives Mum and Dad plenty of time to feed the baby and heat the house prior to me getting there. Babies seem to be calmer in the morning and indoor light is usually better in the am. When I arrive at your home, there's no rush as I don't work to the clock. I'll have a look around for the best diffused light and set up prior to you bringing your baby to the room.
If your baby needs nursing that's fine. We do whatever it takes to keep your baby comfortable and happy. All newborns have very individual personalities and this is what I like to capture. No strange poses for you or your baby. I might ask you to lie on your bed with your baby, cuddle and kiss your baby too. Some babies are wide awake and really aware of their surroundings. You don't have to worry about getting your baby to sleep. If that's your baby at this stage then that's what I want to photograph. If they want to feed a few times or have a dirty nappy that's fine, we take all the time that's necessary to get those photos that you'll treasure in years to come.
Here's a preview of a beautiful newborn baby boy taken a few weeks back.
I met this sweet family 2 years ago when I photographed their first newborn baby girl. I was so thrilled for them when Dad rang me to tell me that they've now welcomed another baby girl to the family. Only 13 days old and so beautiful. Their eldest has grown so much since I last met her and oh my gosh those gorgeous curls!
I hope you enjoy your preview....
